Mukhyamantri Kanya Utthan Yojana has implemented by the state government for protection of girls in related to health, education and self-reliance. The objective of this scheme is to stop female feticide, encourage birth of girls, registration and total immunization, increase sex ratio, reduce girl child mortality, promote girl education, stop child marriage and in total Reduce fertility rate. This scheme is also helpful in educating girls to become self-reliant, providing them an opportunity to live honorably and increase their economic contribution for the family and society.

This scheme is based on Universal Coverage i.e. from birth to graduation of all girls of the state. The benefit of this scheme is limited to two children of the family.

• Applicant girl must be a native of Bihar.
• Girl must belong to a poor household to take advantage of the Kanya Utthan Yojana.
• The benefit of this scheme will be given to the same girl, who does not have any member of the house on a government job.
• If the girl has to get the scholarship amount of Rs 25,000 (twenty-five thousand), then she has to submit his 12th grade mark sheet.
• If the girl is to get the scholarship amount of 50,000 (Fifty thousand rupees), then she has to submit graduation mark sheet.

Under Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana following department are enrolled: -
Though Social Welfare Department:-
• Under this Scheme Rs. 2000 / - is given in the bank account of the child s parents /guardian on the birth of the girl child and Rs. 1000 / - is given again in the account after the completion of 01 year of the girl child after Aadhaar registration.
Through health department:-
• There is a provision to give 2000 rupees in the bank account of parents / guardians for complete immunization of the girl child after completion of 2 years of age.
• In the Chief Minister s Kishori Swasthya Program (for sanitary napkins) the amount of 150 rupees was increased to 300 rupees. This amount is payable to girls of 7-12 category.
Through Education Department:-
• Under the Mukhyamantri Balika (Intermediate) Incentive Scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 25,000 to unmarried Intermediate (+2) passed girls in their account.
• Under the Mukhyamantri Balika (Graduate) Incentive Scheme, there is a provision of giving 50,000 rupees to the graduating girls in their account.

To take advantage of this scheme, some important documents are required, which are as follows.
• Birth Certificate
• Aadhar card
• Domicile Certificate
• Income Certificate
• Photo copy of bank passbook
• Passport size photo
• 12th grade mark sheet
• Graduate Mark Sheet

Under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana, one will be able to take benefits of the scheme by submitting the application form in the prescribed form at the RTPS counter of the Block office. To take advantage of this scheme, the application form will be available at all the Anganwadi centers of the Child Development Project.
The application form for this scheme is made available free of cost by the sevikas of all Anganwadi centres
For the benefit of this scheme, the applicant fills the application in the prescribed form and submits it to the concerned Anganwadi centers along with all the necessary documents. Child Development Project Officer will be the sanctioning officer for this. After registering the filled application form by the sanctioning officer, the Assistant Director will make it available to the District Child Protection Unit. The office of the Assistant Director District Child Protection Unit will compile the list of applications and take action to transfer the allocated amount to the account of the beneficiary s parent/guardian.

Under this scheme, an amount of 2000/- (two thousand) will be transferred to the bank account of the parents/guardian of the girl child on the birth of the girl child and on the completion of 01 year of the girl child and the girl child after Aadhaar registration is done. 1000/- (one thousand) will be transferred to the said bank account.
The amount related to this scheme will be distributed through parent-child account and DBT. Under this, there will be uniformity and ease in the implementation of various schemes, on the other hand, due to the arrangement of parent-child account and DBT in the distribution of funds, it will also bring simplicity and transparency. It will be easy to understand and get the benefits.
